I am deeply committed to helping individuals who have been affected by difficult life circumstances, trauma, substance abuse and addiction. These problems can cause emotional, physical, and cognitive dysfunction making it hard for individuals to carry out everyday tasks. My ultimate goal is to bring hope and restoration to the lives and families impacted by mental heath issues and substance use and process addiction.
As a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) since 2017 and with a total of 30 years of experience in the substance abuse field, I am equipped with the requisite skills, knowledge, and proficiency to make a significant difference helping individuals who are seeking to gain and sustain sobriety. In an intermediate capacity, I also have significant experience helping clients address other challenges, including trauma, child and adult abuse, grief, mood problems, relationship dynamics, and other issues, using cognitive and behavioral counseling techniques.
Furthermore, I have enhanced my skills and capabilities by obtaining a clinical mental health degree, temporary license to practice, supervision, and training, which is equipping me with advanced therapeutic skills, including recent training in EMDR. In this expanded role, I am a pre-licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor under the supervision of Cinda Gee, MS, NCC, LPC/MHSP.
